The University High School Football team held its annual Blue White Spring game, Fri afternoon, May 22.

The much anticipated game started slowly with the offenses only able to muster a total of four first downs in the first half. The first three 10-minute quarters featured a running clock and the game remained scoreless. That didn’t stop Moises Keith-Chavez from displaying his athleticism after not being able to play his junior season. The rising senior safety wooed the crowd with three interceptions.

The teams got down to business in the fourth quarter. Rising junior quarterback Vitor Campos connected with rising junior wide receiver Roni Berezovsky on a pretty flea flicker touchdown covering more than 50 yards to give the Blue team a 6-0 lead.

The White team would respond. Rising senior pivot Dylan Elmer led his team downfield on a five first down drive culminating in a touchdown pass to rising junior wide receiver Trevor Pattock knotting the score at 6-6.

Campos led the Blue team answering with five first downs. With 10 seconds remaining in the game, Campos found rising senior tight end Genko Keke with a TD strike in the end zone to give the Blue team a 12-6 victory.
